    Do stop by Haviland Lake while you're in this part of Colorado. You simply have to go for the San Juan and Jemez Mountains. There's some flowing water nearby, Canyon Creek is a stream you can stop at during your stay, and nearby you hit upon the Circle Trail which is a good hiking trail. You're probably keen on lakes, Electra Lake is one of those nearby, and lots of people from Durango come here. The yearly precipitation here at Haviland Lake is about average;  
   the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain, and June meanwhile is the driest month.
Just can't get enough of Haviland Lake. The skiing at Kendall Mountain is wonderful. You might want to pay a visit to Nary Draw if you're here at Haviland Lake; if you came for an overnight stay Durango Koa Kampground is a brilliant location to camp. If you're interested in hydro structures, you can take a look at Haviland Lake Dam, and a glorious spot for
 
               whitewater paddling is Canyon Creek.
This lake is so wonderful. Nearby lakes? Sure, Rainbow Lake is in the vicinity of Haviland Lake, and Tamarron Resort is a great place to get some rest. But wait, there's more to do in the vicinity of Haviland Lake. There is a glorious hiking trail next to Haviland Lake called the Highline Trail, and camping is available at Haviland Lake Campground. This lake is one of the great places here in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains.
This lake is so wonderful. You can run the rapids of Animas River next to Haviland Lake, and if you need a location to stay Lodge at Tamarron is a tremendous choice. Summer brings highs in the 70's to Haviland Lake. All through the dark hours of summer temperatures descend down into the 30's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 30's; overnight lows through the winter for Haviland Lake tend to be in the 0's. These mountains rock, just explore all the cool stuff to do in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains. Going for a hike on the Goodhope Stock Driveway is always a great adventure, and a day on the slopes of Silverton is just what you need.
