    It's always fun to stop by Hatter Pond. You think that's sufficient? Just getting warmed up. This lake is so wonderful. Go for a hike on the East Fork Trail, and Hatter Pond is near Line Canyon which is without doubt worth visiting. You completely ought to love Hatter Pond. Nearby lakes? Sure, Aspaas Lake is in the neighborhood of Hatter Pond. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Hatter Pond has to offer, you can camp at Purgatory Campground.
 
   During the summertime months at Hatter Pond temperatures are mostly in the 70's. For the period of the moonlight hours it's frequently in the 30's. Highs throughout the wintertime are ordinarily in the 30's, and night lows in the 0's for Hatter Pond. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Hatter Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Haviland Lake Campground is a nice location for that; the sight of pretty Castle Rock is splendid. If  
               you need a place to stay Cascade Village is a great choice, and going for a hike on the Circle Trail is always a good adventure.
A splendid nearby hotel is Purgatory Village Condominium Hotel; hey, Gotta ski right? Kendall Mountain is a fine site to do that. You can run the rapids of Canyon Creek close to Hatter Pond, and Lake of the Pines Dam is a place that is close to Hatter Pond. Hatter Pond gets a common amount of yearly rainfall; of all the months in a year August is the one with the most rain; the driest of the months is June.
Elbert Creek is near Hatter Pond and is always a bliss to take a look at, and the slopes of Silverton are so inviting noone can resist. There's whitewater on Animas River for all you adrenaline rush seekers, and there is a great hiking trail nearby called the Highline Trail.
