For the duration of the days of summer highs here at Hatcher Reservoir reach the 70's while nighttime lows are regularly in the 30's. For the duration of the winter highs are in the 20's, and night lows in the-10's for Hatcher Reservoir. Hatcher Dam is not far at all from Hatcher Reservoir, and why not camp at Happy Camper RV Park since you're here at Hatcher Reservoir. close by hotel is Fairfield Pagosa Resort. This lake is so wonderful. Near Hatcher Reservoir you stumble on a golf course called Pagosa Springs Golf Club, and there are nice places to look at along the Martinez Creek Trail. And that's
not all you can do here in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains. A fine place to camp here at Hatcher Reservoir is Turkey Springs Campground, and after a long day outdoors Econo Lodge Pagosa Springs is a magnificent place to spend a night
or two. This lake is so wonderful. You'll find a scenic lake called Perino Reservoir near Hatcher Reservoir; if you desire a little side spree, try Nichols Draw. This lake is located in the wonderful San Juan and Jemez Mountains.

The take out after Mesa Canyon is where Trujillo Rd gets close to the river on R Left @ 37. 125988°, -107. 051072°

San Juan River - East Fork
 | 14 miles away I am a very close relative of the land owners for a significant portion of the East Fork. There is a couple of miles of river that is private land. Using the river or the land without authorization is tresspassing and is illegal. I am by no means giving you permission to use it. I am simply stating the facts. Please respect the property line and stay on public lands. Other than that enjoy your time in CO and happy rafting.... |
