     Hatcher Reservoir is a nice lake to visit. It is very arid here at Hatcher Reservoir mostly; the wettest month of the year is generally July, that's the one that rains the most while June is the month with the least amount of precipitation. At Hatcher Reservoir throughout the summertime highs are in the 70's; the night is a bit cooler of course, commonly in the 30's. Daytime highs through the wintertime are in the 20's while Hatcher Reservoir night low temperatures during  
   the wintertime are in the-10's. If you want a good time in the great outdoors just come on up to the San Juan and Jemez Mountains. There are some pleasant whitewater spots on San Juan River, and after a long day outdoors Econo Lodge Pagosa Springs is a great location to spend a night or two.
This lake is so wonderful. Take a hike on the Martinez Creek Trail; there are other locations here than Hatcher Reservoir, for example Perino Reservoir. So much cool
 
               stuff to do here at Hatcher Reservoir, too great to be true. Wolf Creek has fine slopes and a friendly staff, and you can have a good hiking adventure along the Piedra Stock Trail. A great close by hotel is Fairfield Pagosa Resort.
You'll need more than a day to discover everything Hatcher Reservoir has to offer, you can camp at Happy Camper RV Park, and Coyote Hill is clearly visible from Hatcher Reservoir. This lake is located in the wonderful San Juan and Jemez Mountains. Yep, outdoors entertaining stuff truly is bountiful here in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains. Nichols Draw is a perfect spot to take a look at close by, and Hatcher Dam is a beautiful place, definitely worth visiting.
Hatcher Reservoir is a good place to visit for more than one day, Turkey Springs Campground is a good place to camp nearby, and Pagosa Springs Golf Club is a great golf course nearby. This lake is so wonderful. Hatcher Reservoir is right by the Fourmile Stock Trail, and Stevens Reservoir is a great lake close by.

I am a guide on the San Juan here and wanted to correct the info about this run. The put in is behind a place called malt shoppe and the Lat/Long of it is: 37. 269902°, -107. 001559°

The take out after Mesa Canyon is where Trujillo Rd gets close to the river on R Left @ 37. 125988°, -107. 051072°

These are the closest Public put in & take out to the Lat/Long given on the site. Happy Raftin!...

San Juan River - East Fork

I am a very close relative of the land owners for a significant portion of the East Fork. There is a couple of miles of river that is private land. Using the river or the land without authorization is tresspassing and is illegal. I am by no means giving you permission to use it. I am simply stating the facts. Please respect the property line and stay on public lands. Other than that enjoy your time in CO and happy rafting....
