     Colorado has many beautiful lakes and Hatcher Lakes is one of them. This lake is so wonderful. The Treasure Mountain Trail offers hiking at its best, and dry warm beds await you at Holiday Inn Express Pagosa Springs, Co. High temperatures at Hatcher Lakes through the summertime months are in the 70's, and during the night it cools down to the 30's. The winter comes with highs in the 20's; nighttime lows at Hatcher Lakes through the wintertime frequently descend into  
   the-10's. Get yourself into a kayak and hit San Juan River - East Fork.
Float down the rapids of Wolf Creek in a kayak, and good hiking is available along the Windy Pass Trail. Hatcher Lakes is generally a relatively dry place; July is the month that gets the most rain; the driest month of the year is June. If you like the outdoors, you'll go for Hatcher Lakes. You must beyond doubt dedicate some time to Poison Park if you're here at Hatcher Lakes; since
 
               you're here, you could check out Burro Creek.
There's glorious hiking along the Rainbow Trail; since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always go to nearby Rod and Gun Club Lake. This lake is so wonderful. If you came for an overnight stay West Fork Campground is a splendid location to camp, and if you need a site to stay Oak Ridge Lodge is a magnificent choice. The San Juan and Jemez Mountains scenery is always beautiful.
So much amusing stuff to do in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains, not enough time. Not far from Hatcher Lakes, you'll locate Borns Lake which is a gorgeous lake, and here at Hatcher Lakes you can spot Sliderock Mountain. There's no way someone can get bored here in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains. Pagosa Riverside Campground is a tremendous local campground, and there's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at close by Wolf Creek.

Using the river or the land without authorization is tresspassing and is illegal. I am by no means giving you permission to use it. I am simply stating the facts. The take out after Mesa Canyon is where Trujillo Rd gets close to the river on R Left @ 37. 125988°, -107. 051072°

These are the closest Public put in & take out to the Lat/Long given on the site. Happy Raftin!...

I was raised near this lake and when a child we had to pack horses into this lake. It is not near any campgrounds, and it's over 25 miles to town, not 18. It gets way colder than 0 in the winter but the views are almost correct.  It IS beautiful!...
