It's always fun to stop by Hatcher Lakes. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Hatcher Lakes has to offer, you can camp at Pagosa Riverside Campground; if you don’t have a problem getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on San Juan River - East Fork. And if that's not enough there's plenty more exciting things to do in the San Juan Mountains. Borns Lake is a tremendous lake in close proximity to Hatcher Lakes; some of the water close by

| | flows, like Burro Creek. This lake is so wonderful. Wolf Creek is a great whitewater spot right next door to Hatcher Lakes, and the slopes of Wolf Creek are so inviting noone can resist. Not sufficient hours in a day to enjoy this place. If you need a place to stay High Country Lodge is a glorious choice, and going for a hike on the Windy Pass Trail is always a good adventure. Summertime highs at Hatcher Lakes regularly tend to be in the 70's. For the | |

duration of the dark hours of summer temperatures plunge down into the 30's. For the period of the winter highs are in the 20's; winter nights come with lows in the-10's to Hatcher Lakes. Just can't get enough of the San Juan Mountains.
Poison Park is a tremendous place, and don't leave Hatcher Lakes without first going for a hike along the Treasure Mountain Trail. This lake is so wonderful. A delightful close by hotel is Best Value High Country Lodge; the peak
of Sliderock Mountain can be seen from Hatcher Lakes. Stay the night at West Fork Campground; you can go for a hike on the Rainbow Trail. This lake is one of the great places here in the San Juan Mountains. Hatcher Lakes is a
location that is quite waterless frequently; all through the month of July you get the most rain around here, and June is when it's the driest.
