    Harvey Lake is a great lake in an area with lots of outdoors fun all around. Harvey Lake in fact is in the middle of a delightful outdoors paradise. There's so much to do here at Harvey Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Half Moon Campground is a perfect place for that, and what would winter be without some skiing at Beaver Creek. This lake is so wonderful. The Half Moon Trail offers hiking at its best, and if you get bored of Harvey Lake you could  
   also pop by close by Mulhall Lakes. Yeah, come up here to the Sawatch Range for a good time. You'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Vail since you're here; Treasure Vault Lake is a nearby lake that you could stop by.
All through the summertime at Harvey Lake temperatures are frequently in the 80's. Once the sun is down it falls down to the 40's. Highs through the wintertime are typically in the 30's, and nighttime lows throughout the wintertime
 
               for Harvey Lake tend to be in the 0's. This lake is so wonderful. Hiking along the Last Chance Trail is brilliant fun; you're sure to stumble upon some smiling people from Edwards here. Harvey Lake is a location that is rather waterless typically; all through July this area sees the most rain, and February meanwhile is the driest month.
This lake is one of the great places here in the Sawatch Range. Eagle River is a glorious whitewater spot in the neighborhood of Harvey Lake; Harvey Lake is right by the Fall Creek Trail. Don't forget to take a pleasant little tour to West Cross Creek, and if you need a location to stay Hyatt Mountain Lodge is a good choice.
You just can't envision the amount of outdoors entertaining things the area in close proximity to Harvey Lake has to offer. Fancy Pass is next to Harvey Lake and is beyond doubt a splendid place to pop by, and dry warm beds await you at The Ritz-Carlton Bachelor Gulch. Be careful coming to the Sawatch Range, you might not ever wanna go back home again. Stay the night at Gold Park Campground, and from Harvey Lake you get a good sight of Middle Mountain.

Beautiful drive up to Lede Reservoir.  We started in Eagle and took Sylvan Lake road all the way past the lake and then took a right at the first intersection.  After climbing up and around the peak in front of us we were upon some huge rolling meadows that were among the forrests.  A slight drop down into the valley on the west side of the mountains and a left turn lead us to the reservoir.  It is a great spot with some fishing paths around the water and a number of campsites as well.  We continued west to Gypsum Creek Road and a short drive back to the town of Gypsum....

...an unassuming mountainside with vision and conviction. He took one look at the current site of Copper and told his friends, I don’t care how everyone else does it, we're not everyone else, and he meant it. He negotiated a deal to purchase 280 acres at the base and worked with the Forest Service to establish parameters and guidelines for the ski area. Chuck was both a renegade and a visionary. During the summer of '71, initial construction began on the ski trails. Today, Chuck’s dream is alive and well.

As stated in a 1969 US Forest Service report, if there were a mountain that had terrain for skiing it would be Copper Mountain. It is the most nearly perfect ski mountain in the U. S. Over the years, new lifts were added and Copper grew to its current size of 2,465 acres. What was once a sleepy little day ski area is now one of Colorado's premier year-round destination resorts. In 1997, the resort was purchased by Intrawest - a worldwide leader in resort operations and real estate development.
