A great spot to camp here at Harriman Lake is Chatfield, and a lake close by is Stickford Lake. This lake is so wonderful. A good nearby hotel is Oakwood at Retreat at Fox Hollow; don't forget to take a wonderful little trip to Turkey Creek. Lots of folks from Denver-Aurora come to Harriman Lake; get yourself into a kayak and       hit South Platte River. So much amusing stuff to do at Harriman Lake, so little time. After a long day outdoors Hampton Inn DenverSW /Lakewood/ is a glorious spot to spend a night or two; Harriman Lake is not the only spot close by, Bear Creek Lake is a close by lake. Why not camp at South Park Lodge and RV Park while you're here at Harriman Lake, and you can have a great hiking adventure along the Beaver Brook Trail. This lake is so wonderful. The scenery                  at Harriman Dam in the vicinity of Harriman Lake is wonderful, and if you're a golfer then a magnificent close by course is Fox Hollow at Lakewood Golf Course. Mount Carbon can be distinguished from Harriman Lake; there are some splendid whitewater spots on Bear Creek. This site is so good, just look at all the cool stuff to do in the neighborhood of Harriman Lake. Around Harriman Lake you don’t get a lot of precipitation; most of the rain falls throughout May; the driest month of the year is January. Summertime brings highs in the 80's to Harriman Lake. Summer night lows drop down to the 50's.
