This lake is so wonderful. Weaver Gulch is a nice spot to spend some time at, and if you don't mind getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Bear Creek. A spree to Florissant Fossil Beds National Monument is worthwhile. Harriman Dam is a site that is close to Harriman Lake, and you'll meet a lot of people from Denver-Aurora here. South Platte River is a delightful whitewater spot close to Harriman       Lake, and if you need a place to stay Best Western Denver Southwest is a good choice. There's tremendous hiking along the Beaver Brook Trail; Bear Creek Lake is a nearby lake that you could visit. After a long day outdoors Hampton Inn Denver-Southwest/Lakewood is a great spot to spend a night or two, and South Park Lodge and RV Park is a pleasant campground here. Just can't get enough of Harriman Lake. Turkey Creek is a delightful stream that is worth checking                  out, and camping at Harriman Lake is magnificent fun, Chatfield is a magnificent local campground. Throughout the summertime months at Harriman Lake highs are regularly in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures sink down into the 50's. Highs through the winter are regularly in the 40's; after the sun is down all through the wintertime temperatures at Harriman Lake plunge into the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. If the weather is gorgeous, you obtain a good view of Mount Carbon from Harriman Lake; for you golfers we recommend nearby Fox Hollow at Lakewood Golf Course.
