It is very dry here at Harper and Sons Reservoir usually; March is when you get the most snow here; June is the month with the least moisture. Be careful coming to Harper and Sons Reservoir, you might not ever want to go home again. After a long day outdoors Holiday       Inn Express Eagle, Co is a nice site to spend a night or two; the Ute Trail offers hiking at its best. Get your heart beating on the tremendous whitewater of Sweetwater Creek; do visit Harper Reservoir, it's a delightful lake. Why not stop at Harper and Sons Dam while you're here, and you can run the rapids of Colorado River. This lake is so wonderful. A great place to camp here at Harper and Sons Reservoir is Anderson Camps LTD, and Oak Tree Inn Yampa                  is a tremendous place to get some rest. For the duration of the summer months highs here at Harper and Sons Reservoir reach the 80's. During the dark hours of summer temperatures plunge down into the 40's. For the period of the winter this place gets highs in the 20's, and after the sun is down during the wintertime temperatures at Harper and Sons Reservoir plunge into the 0's. Harper and Sons Reservoir is great enough to spend more than a day at, Stagecoach is a great local campground, and why not take a refreshing hike along the South Derby Trail.
