High temperatures at Harper Reservoir during the summertime months are in the 80's while night lows are generally in the 40's. Bucks Campground is a glorious campground here, and the Ute Trail offers hiking at its best. This lake is so wonderful. Camping at Harper Reservoir is magnificent       fun, Stagecoach is a magnificent local campground, and why not take a refreshing hike along the South Derby Trail. You don’t have to go far from Harper Reservoir to make out the water at Harper and Sons Dam, and Gardner Park Reservoir is a glorious lake close by. This lake is so wonderful. A good close by hotel is Holiday Inn Express Eagle, Co. Take a side spree to Gardner Creek; Harper Reservoir is right by the High Trail. So many amusing things to do here                  at Harper Reservoir, too great to be true. There are some good whitewater spots on Colorado River, and sites like Gardner Park are glorious to explore. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Sweetwater Creek, and if you need a place to stay Oak Tree Inn Yampa is a great choice.
