    If you are traveling by, why not stop by Harper Pond. This lake is so wonderful. If you came for an overnight stay Riverside RV Park is a nice location to camp, and great hiking is available along the Pine-Piedra Stock Driveway. Crowbar Creek is a tremendous local stream; get covered with water paddling on Piedra River. If you go for the outdoors, you'll fancy Harper Pond. Dry warm beds await you at Quality Inn & Suites.
Harper Pond gets very little rain; the
 
   month with most of the rain is August, and June is when it's the driest. If you want a pleasant time in the great outdoors just come on up to the San Juan Mountains. Camping is available at Riverside Campground; there's brilliant hiking along the Devil Mountain Trail. If you're visiting Harper Pond from Durango, you won't be the only one; Armstrong Canyon is also a pleasant spot to look at.
Harper Pond is located in the San Juan Mountains. All through
 
               the warmest time of the year highs here at Harper Pond get into the 80's. For the duration of the moonlight hours it's frequently in the 50's. Through the winter highs are in the 30's while Harper Pond overnight low temperatures during the wintertime are in the 0's.
