Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always explore nearby Reservoir Number 2, and on a perfect day you can take a hike along the Devil Mountain Trail. So much enjoyable stuff to do here       at Harper Pond, too pleasant to be true. If the weather is magnificent here at Harper Pond, you can go for a hike along the Pine-Piedra Stock Driveway; there are plenty of folks from Durango here. You can run the rapids of Piedra River next to Harper Pond, and a pleasant location to camp here at Harper Pond is Riverside RV Park. At Harper Pond throughout the summertime months highs are in the 80's. For the period of the moonlight hours it's typically in the 50's. During the wintertime this place gets highs in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Harper Pond are in the 0's. This lake is so wonderful.
