This lake is so wonderful. A splendid site to camp here at Hardin Reservoir is Iron Spring Campground, and do put some time aside to spend at Dollarhide Spring since you're here at Hardin Reservoir. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 80's to Hardin Reservoir. Summer nighttime lows sink down to the 40's. Daytime highs through the winter are in the 30's, and after the       sun is down throughout the wintertime temperatures at Hardin Reservoir plunge into the 0's. Not much rainfall falls here at Hardin Reservoir; most of the rain falls during July while February is frequently the driest month. Get drenched paddling on San Miguel River; going for a hike on the Dry Creek Trail is always a good adventure. Just can't get enough of the Uncompahgre Plateau Mountains. The nice people of Montrose like to hang out nearby, and while                  you're here at Hardin Reservoir, checking out Craig Point is a must. And that's not everything there is to do here in the Uncompahgre Plateau Mountains. Dry warm beds await you at Fairmont Franz Klammer Lodge; swing by South Fork Clay Creek it's a great place to check out. And that's not all you can do here at Hardin Reservoir. While you're here at Hardin Reservoir, you could also take a look at delightful Upper Craig Draw Reservoir, and glide down the rapids of San Miguel River in a kayak. Why not camp at Antone Spring Campground if you're here at Hardin Reservoir, and Dollan Reservoir is a nearby lake that you could explore. This lake is so wonderful.
