Why not stop by Hanging Lake if you're passing through these parts. This lake is located in the wonderful San Juan Mountains. Cimarron River is a good whitewater spot in close proximity to Hanging Lake, and after a long day outdoors Ouray Chalet Inn is a nice spot to spend a night or two. So much enjoyable stuff to do in the San Juan Mountains, not enough time. Don’t forget to visit Cabbage Patch if you're here at Hanging Lake; there's some flowing water nearby,

| | Fox Creek is a stream you can take a look at during your stay.
Through the warm days of summer here at Hanging Lake, high temperatures frequently reach the 80's. Summer nighttime lows fall down to the 50's. Highs through the winter are ordinarily in the 30's, and after the sun is down through the wintertime temperatures at Hanging Lake fall into the 10's. is always a great adventure, and Comfort Inn Ouray is a good site to get some rest. This spot, the San Juan Mountains, has so much outdoors entertaining stuff. In the event that you don’t have a problem getting dripping wet, you can
always go whitewater paddling on Cimarron River; camping is available at Beaver Lake Campground.
Hanging Lake is commonly a relatively dehydrated site; the month with most of the rain is September, and the driest of the months
is February. This lake is so wonderful. Go for a hike on the Courthouse Trail; Beaver Lake is a nearby lake that you could stop at. This lake is so wonderful. A day on the slopes of Silverton is just what you need, and there are great
spots to explore along the Deer Creek Trail.
Why not visit Silver Jack Dam while you're here; if you came for an overnight stay Big Cimarron Campground is a magnificent spot to camp.
