There's glorious hiking along the High Trail; since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always visit nearby Hopkins Reservoir. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a location to stay Hotel Colorado is a good choice; why not a little side spree to Cinnamon Creek. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Grizzly Creek. There's so much to do here at Hanging Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Glenwood Canyon       Resort is a nice spot for that. High temperatures at Hanging Lake during the summer months are in the 80's. During the dark hours of summer temperatures plunge down into the 50's. High temperatures during the wintertime are normally in the 30's, and overnight lows in the 0's for Hanging Lake. Around Hanging Lake you don’t get a lot of rainfall; October is when you get the most rain here, and the driest of the months is February. This lake is so wonderful.                  Good hiking is available along the Blue Creek Trail; you'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Sunlight Mountain if you're here. What a spot this is for outdoors folks. Dry warm beds await you at The Hotel Denver, and if you're here, you might as well check out Devils Hole Canyon. This is a magnificent neighborhood for people who like lakes. Green Lake is a lake around here. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Hanging Lake has to offer, you can camp at Coffee Pot Spring Campground.
