Hiking is a popular thing to do around Hanging Lake; Marble Mountain Trail is a good local trail, and you're probably keen on lakes, Upper Sand Creek Lake is one of those nearby. Hanging Lake is ordinarily a relatively arid place; the wettest month of the year is usually August, that's the one that rains the most, and the driest month is January. Summer at Hanging Lake arrives with       high temperatures in the 80's, and during the night it cools down to the 40's. For the period of the winter the highs are ordinarily in the 30's; nighttime lows through the wintertime for Hanging Lake tend to be in the 0's. Cross D Bar Trout Ranch is a great local campground, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Rainbow Trail. All the outdoors amusing stuff in close proximity to Hanging Lake will keep you coming back again and again. Why not camp at                  North Crestone Campground while you're here at Hanging Lake. This lake is so wonderful. The panorama of pretty Broken Hand Peak near Hanging Lake is glorious; Great Sand Dunes National Monument is a very good location to stop at. All year is a splendid time in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains if you have a thing about the outdoors. This is a pleasant vicinity for people who like lakes.
