La Quinta Inn and Suites Loveland is a nice site to get some rest; Handy Reservoir is not the only spot nearby, Loveland Reservoir is a nearby lake. Going for a hike on the Jug Trail is always a great adventure; you'll meet a lot of people from Fort Collins-Loveland here. Enjoy a round of golf at Cattail Creek Golf       Course not far from Handy Reservoir, and if you're looking for a magnificent visit, Rocky Mountain National Park is relatively near. And if you're still looking for more outdoors entertaining things just keep reading. Dry warm beds await you at Quality Inn Loveland, and a pleasant location for whitewater paddling is Big Thompson River. At Handy Reservoir you don’t see much rain; the month with most of the rain is May while January is the month with the                  least amount of precipitation. This lake is so wonderful. Handy Dam is delightful and it's near Handy Reservoir, and camping at Fireside Rv Park & Cabins is always a great experience. During the months of summer, highs commonly are in the 80's at Handy Reservoir while nighttime lows are generally in the 50's. Throughout the winter this place gets highs in the 40's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Handy Reservoir. This lake is so wonderful.
