Hancock Lake is a great lake in an area with lots of outdoors fun all around. Summertime highs at Hancock Lake commonly tend to be in the 70's while overnight lows are regularly in the 30's. During the winter this place gets highs in the 20's, and overnight lows in the-20's for Hancock Lake. All the outdoors exciting things in the Sawatch Range will keep you coming back over and over. close to Hancock Lake there are some exciting things to see, and obviously, this is a splendid region for people who like lakes, Billings Lake is a lake around here. At Hancock Lake you don’t see much rainfall; August is the month
that gets the most rain, and June on the other hand is the driest. The Fooses Creek Trail offers hiking at its best, and a tour to Black Canyon Of The Gunnison National Park is worthwhile.
Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the
Sawatch Range. The panorama of gorgeous Brittle Silver Mountain near Hancock Lake is nice, and Hancock Lake is right by the Pitkin Stock Driveway. Hancock Lake is one of the lakes here in the Sawatch Range. This lake is so wonderful.
There's whitewater on Arkansas River for all you thrill seekers, and if you came for an overnight stay Garfield Campground is a delightful location to camp.
