For the period of the summertime at Hallar Reservoir temperatures are commonly in the 80's. Once the sun is down it falls down to the 50's. Highs through the wintertime are mostly in the 30's, and overnight lows at Hallar Reservoir through the winter typically fall into the 10's. A great location for whitewater paddling right next door to Hallar Reservoir is Dolores River; you can go for a hike on the Morrison       Trail. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a place to stay Dunton Hot Springs is a nice choice, and going for a hike on the Chicken Creek Trail is always a fine adventure. Hackley Reservoir is a nearby lake that you could take a look at, also L A Bar Dam is worth stopping at if you're here. Hallar Reservoir gets very little rain; the wettest month of the year is generally March, that's the one that rains the most, and the driest of the months is June. Dry                  warm beds await you at Echo Basin Dude And Guest Ranch, LLC; there are great places to discover along the Lost Canyon Stock Driveway. This lake is so wonderful. Visiting Mesa Verde National Park is just something you need to do if you haven't yet, and close by you stumble on tremendous sites like Cox Canyon. This place is unbeatable, just check out all the cool stuff to do in close proximity to Hallar Reservoir. Turkey Creek is a glorious local stream, and you can stay the night at Jackson Gulch Campground.
