You get a wonderful view of Fire Mountain from Hall Reservoir, and needless to say Lone Pine Creek is a gorgeous stream that is worth visiting. This is a great neighborhood for people who like lakes. Terror Creek Reservoir is a lake in the neighborhood; you're possibly into lakes, Floating Lake is one of those nearby. | | always go whitewater paddling on Gunnison River - North Fork. Camping is available at Bar Diamond Ranch; if you're here you can take a hike along the Hammond Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Camping at Dyke Creek Campground is always a splendid experience, and you can have a delightful hiking adventure along the Terror Trail. wintertime highs are mostly in the 30's, and overnight lows in the 0's for Hall Reservoir. This lake is so wonderful. So many fun things to do at Hall Reservoir, so little time. Whitewater paddling is fine on Anthracite Creek
- Ruby Fork, and if the weather is great, you can go for a hike along the Sunset Trail. Hall Reservoir gets a normal amount of rainfall; the month of March is the wettest with most of the rain, and June meanwhile is the driest month.

 | 12 miles away Hiked into Crater Lake on 6/23/07. Caught three 12' cutthroat trout, and had a much larger trout strike my lure a couple of times (not hard enough for me to set the hook). Beautiful place, but the mosquitos ate me alive.... |
