Beautiful Halfmoon Lake has much to offer visitors. Halfmoon Lake is great enough to spend more than a day at, Fulford Cave Campground is a great local campground, and you can never get enough of the fine skiing at Beaver Creek. Around Halfmoon Lake you don’t get a lot of precipitation; July is when you get the most rain here, and the driest of the months is February. The Sawatch Range scenery is always beautiful.

| | so little time. The peak of Avalanche Peak can be made out from Halfmoon Lake, and going for a hike on the Last Chance Trail is always a brilliant adventure. This lake is so wonderful. Not far from Halfmoon Lake, you'll discover Eagle Lake which is a stunning lake, and Fryingpan River has a tremendous whitewater paddling spot close by. For the duration of the summertime months at Halfmoon Lake temperatures are usually in the 80's while overnight lows are mostly | |

in the 40's. The winter comes with highs in the 30's, and night lows through the winter for Halfmoon Lake tend to be in the 0's.
All the outdoors amusing stuff in the Sawatch Range will keep you coming back time and again. There's
so much to do here at Halfmoon Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Elk Wallow Campground is a nice place for that, and nearby you locate the Lake Charles Trail which is a tremendous hiking trail. Not enough hours in a day
to enjoy the Sawatch Range. If you need a place to stay The Charter At Beaver Creek is a good choice, and nice skiing awaits you at Vail. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Centennial Condominiums is a perfect place
to spend a night or two, and this is a popular place for folks from Edwards.
Whitewater paddling is magnificent on Eagle River; you can go for a hike on the Ironedge Trail.
