Colorado has many beautiful lakes and Halfmoon Lake is one of them. You just can't imagine the amount of outdoors exciting stuff the Sawatch Range has to offer. Good hiking is available along the Ironedge Trail, and Halfmoon Lake is a pleasant spot to visit for more than one day, Elk Wallow Campground is a pleasant spot to camp nearby. The cheerful people of Edwards like to hang out close by. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Halfmoon Lake

| | has to offer, you can camp at Fulford Cave Campground, and there's whitewater on Eagle River for all you adrenaline people.
Halfmoon Lake is regularly a pretty arid spot; throughout July this area sees the most rain, and February on the other hand is the driest. Whohoo, so much cool stuff in one place! Beaver Creek is quite near. This lake is located in the wonderful Sawatch Range.
Vail is a good local ski area; after a long day outdoors Hyatt Mountain Lodge is a good place to spend a night or two. This lake is so wonderful.
Don't leave Halfmoon Lake without first going for a hike along the Last Chance Trail, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always visit close by Fairview Lake. Through the summertime months, highs generally are in
the 80's at Halfmoon Lake, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 40's. Daytime highs through the winter are in the 30's with temperatures at Halfmoon Lake dipping down into the 0's during winter nights.
This lake is
so wonderful. Go for a hike on the Lake Charles Trail, and whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Fryingpan River. Any time is a good time at Halfmoon Lake if you love the outdoors. A nice sight
of picturesque Avalanche Peak is available from Halfmoon Lake, and if you need a spot to stay The Pines Lodge is a splendid choice.
