It's always fun to stop by Hahns Peak Lake. Through the warm months highs here at Hahns Peak Lake reach the 80's; through summer nights temperatures are in the 40's. For the duration of the winter the highs are commonly in the 20's with temperatures at Hahns Peak Lake dipping down into the 0's during winter nights. Sunrise Vista Campground is a tremendous local campground; the Nipple Peak Trail is a pleasant hiking trail close by.
This lake is so wonderful.

| | You don’t have to go far from Hahns Peak Lake to observe the water at Hahns Peak Dam, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Elk River. This lake is so wonderful. The top of Cap Smith Hill is easily observed from Hahns Peak Lake, and close by you stumble on the Oliver Creek Trail which is a good hiking trail. Around Hahns Peak Lake you don’t get a lot of precipitation; of all the months in a year December is the one with the most snow while February is frequently | |

All year is a pleasant time in the Park Range if you like the outdoors. Dry warm beds await you at CrossTimbers at Steamboat, and why not camp at Dutch Hill Campground while you're here at Hahns Peak Lake. So
many amusing things to do here at Hahns Peak Lake, too great to be true. Trilby Flats is a beautiful place any time of year; Willow Creek Lake is a nearby lake that you could have a look at. Life's too short to enjoy all the amusing
things in the Park Range. There is a perfect hiking trail near Hahns Peak Lake called the Burton Creek Trail, and if you need a place to stay Nordic Lodge of Steamboat is a brilliant choice.
If you get bored of Hahns Peak Lake,
you could also take a look at close by Steamboat Lake, and there are some great whitewater spots on Elk River. Hahns Peak Lake is one of the lakes here in the Park Range.
