There is a wonderful hiking trail near Hagerman Lake called the Main Range Trail, and there are plenty of folks from Edwards here. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Sawatch Range. If the weather is tremendous here at Hagerman Lake, you can go for a hike along the Highline Trail, and you can hit the slopes at Ski Cooper nearby. Hagerman Lake really is in the middle of a lovely outdoors paradise. The Mount Massive Trail is a great       hiking trail close to Hagerman Lake. There's so much to do here at Hagerman Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Mary Queen Campground is a delightful place for that. Throughout the months of summer at Hagerman Lake temperatures are generally in the 70's, and during the night it cools down to the 40's. The winter comes with highs in the 30's with temperatures at Hagerman Lake dipping down into the 0's throughout winter nights. Paddling on Lake Creek is so                  much fun, and you're perhaps addicted to lakes, Virginia Lake is one of those close by. Beaver Creek is a very popular ski area in the vicinity; Hagerman Lake is great enough to spend more than a day at, Elbert Creek Campground is a great local campground. Dry warm beds await you at The Ritz-Carlton, Bachelor Gulch. All the outdoors enjoyable things in the Sawatch Range will keep you coming back over and over.
