A quick visit to Spruce Creek near Gunnison Lake is a fine idea, and whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Anthracite Creek - Ruby Fork. Spruce Draw is a nice spot to discover, and on a glorious day you can take a hike along the Sunset Trail. Gunnison Lake is mostly a relatively dried up place; the month with most of the rain is October, and June meanwhile is the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. Not far from Gunnison
Lake, you'll find Beaver Reservoir which is a beautiful lake, and if you need a place to stay Elk Mountain Lodge is a tremendous choice.
During the warm months, highs frequently are in the 80's at Gunnison Lake, and the night is quite chillier of course, ordinarily in the 50's. High temperatures through the winter are normally in the 30's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Gunnison Lake. Camping at Smith Fork Campground is always a pleasant

experience, and close by you locate the Hammond Trail which is a brilliant hiking trail. If you come at the right time of year, Gunnison River - North Fork offers some tremendous whitewater, and there is a perfect hiking trail nearby called the Minnesota Pass Trail.
You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the fun things at Gunnison Lake. If you came to camp Camp Id-Ra-Ha-Je West is a great place to do that; there are other locations here than Gunnison Lake, for example Paonia Reservoir. This lake is so wonderful. The view of Mount Gunnison from Gunnison Lake is beautiful.

In other words, they are churches and ministries that believe the Bible to be God's inerrant and inspired word, and live out their lives in regards to what the Bible teaches. That is not to say that all groups that use this camp are in total agreeement on all issues. But on the basics of biblical orthodoxy, we must agree.

We desire the camp to be a place of scriptural discipleship, where the word is taught, studied, and lived out that we may grow in ...

Lost Lake Campground
11 miles away
I just camped at Lost Lake 2 weeks ago! It is so beautiful and serene they were holding a wedding there 2 days after we left. With only 10 campsites, it is quiet and ideal for families or couples. A beautiful view of Lost Lake Slough and of the mountains in the background greeted us in the morning. The full moon rising over the crest of the mountain was a real treat the first night we got there. There is a 3 mile hike within walking distance on which we saw beautiful wildflowers, 2 waterfalls, and 3 lakes. ENJOY!...

Excellent white-water kayaking on the Crystal River, for the experienced expert only.  Coors Falls at Lead King Basin is a top scale challenge, as is the 2-mile river course from the Crystal Mill.  Somewhat milder is the Crystal River from Marble to Redstone.  Beyond Redstone gets a little hairy...
