You might want to pay a visit to Carver Canyon while you're here at Grouse Reservoir; why not take a refreshing hike along the Stoner Stock Trail. try Grouse Point. High temperatures at Grouse Reservoir during the summertime months are in the 80's. Summer overnight lows fall down to the 50's. Through the wintertime this place gets highs in the 30's with winter lows in the
10's overnight here at Grouse Reservoir. Just can't get enough of Grouse Reservoir. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Grouse Reservoir has to offer, you can camp at Cozy Comfort RV Park and Mountain Retreat, and do take a hike on the Lost Canyon Stock Driveway.

Summit Reservoir
 | Summit Lake was constructed in 1905 and reconstructed and enlarged in 1938. It is owned and operated by the Summit Reservoir and Irrigation Company. It contains 402 surfqace acres when full. The lake is stocked with fish by the Colorado Division of Wildlife (DOW) and open for public fishing. Public access is from highway 184 on the north side of the lake. There is a boat ramp. Fishing is allowed from the bank or from hand powered or trolling motor powered boats only. The public access is maintained by the DOW. The only facilities present is a boat ramp and a pit toilet. No fires, swimming or overnight camping is allowed.... |
Puett Reservoir
 | A.M. Puett Reservoir was originally constructed in 1905, and then reconstructed in 1960. It contains 163 surface acres when full and is owned and operated by the Summit Reservoir and Irrigation Company. The lake is stocked with fish by the Colorado Division of Wildlife and open for public fishing from the bank and from trolling motor powered boats. No swimming is allowed.  | 12 miles away We stayed in this campground mid-July 2006. Very efficient, friendly park. Adequate power, water, and sewage hookups. Rates were reasonable; and the manager did indicate that longer stays were discounted. Nice fenced dog run for our puppies to enjoy. The microbrewery in town has a wide selection of locally made beverages. I would gladly stop at La Mesa RV Park again.... |
