During the dark hours of summer temperatures sink down into the 40's. The winter brings highs down to the 30's with temperatures at Grizzly Lake dipping down into the 0's throughout winter nights. Very delightful scenery and fine skiing is what you get at Aspen Highlands, and Grizzly Lake is not the only place nearby, Henschel Lake is a nearby lake. Grizzly Lake is typically a rather       dehydrated spot; August is the month that gets the most rain, and February is when it's the driest. If you love the outdoors you'll love it here in the Sawatch Range. A wonderful place for whitewater paddling close to Grizzly Lake is Roaring Fork, and do stop at Galena Creek since you're here at Grizzly Lake. This lake is so wonderful. You'll beyond doubt wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the fun stuff in the Sawatch Range. If the weather is perfect here at Grizzly Lake, you can go for a hike along the Timberline Trail, as expected you could also check out Grizzly Reservoir if you're here; it's not far at all.
