If you are in Chaffee county it's always a good idea to stop by Grizzly Lake. Grizzly Lake is one of the lakes here in the Sawatch Range. Now, you may imagine that's plenty but there's even more exciting stuff to do here in the Sawatch Range. You can make out Chrysolite Mountain from Grizzly Lake; Grizzly Lake is pleasant enough to spend more than a day at, Middle Quartz Campground is a pleasant local campground. the neighborhood of Grizzly Lake is Arkansas River. There's so much to do here at Grizzly Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Garfield Campground is a pleasant site for that.
Grizzly Lake gets very little precipitation; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain; the driest of the months is June.
