Vail is a nice local ski area, and if you don't mind getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Blue River. Green Mountain Dam is worth taking a look at while you're here, and after a long day outdoors Vail Mountain Lodge and Spa is a great site to spend a night or two. There is a brilliant hiking trail close to Green Mountain Reservoir called the Surprise Trail, and everyone close by loves       skiing at Beaver Creek. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Vails Mountain Haus, and there are other sites here than Green Mountain Reservoir, for example Tipperary Lake. This lake is so wonderful. On a lovely day you acquire a panorama of Green Mountain from Green Mountain Reservoir, and some of the water nearby flows, like Deep Creek. If you want a brilliant time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Green Mountain Reservoir. Green                  Mountain Reservoir is fine enough to spend more than a day at, Willows Campground is a fine local campground; Green Mountain Reservoir is a place with many visitors from Silverthorne. Green Mountain Reservoir is one of the lakes here in the Park Range. Around Green Mountain Reservoir you don’t get a lot of rain; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain, and February is the month with the least moisture.
