At Green Lake you don’t see much precipitation; most of the rain falls through October, and February is the month with the least moisture. This lake is so wonderful. Good hiking is available along the Blue Creek Trail, and what would winter be without some skiing at Sunlight Mountain. A splendid close by hotel is Days Inn Carbondale,       and camping is available at Sopris RV Park. Life's too short to enjoy all the fun things in close proximity to Green Lake. Consolidated Reservoir is a nearby lake that you could explore, and do visit Hopkins Reservoir, it's a lovely lake. If you need a site to stay Comfort Inn & Suites is a brilliant choice, and get dripping wet paddling on Grizzly Creek. For the duration of the days of summer at Green Lake highs are usually in the 80's. Summer night lows                  dip down to the 50's.
