Stay the night at Mix Lake Campground, and don't leave Green Lake without first going for a hike along the Elk Creek Trail. You completely have to go for Green Lake. You'll come across a pretty lake called Trail Lake near Green Lake. Green Lake is a beautiful lake in the San Juan Mountains. Green Lake commonly gets a large amount of rainfall; the month of March is the wettest with most of the snow while       June is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Summertime brings highs in the 60's to Green Lake with nighttime lows in the 40's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 30's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Green Lake. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Foster Hotel Bar Restaurant is a magnificent place to spend a night or two; there are glorious spots to look at along the South Fork Trail. Man, is there a lot of                  fun stuff to do in the San Juan Mountains. There are some tremendous whitewater spots on Conejos River, and great hiking is available along the Conejos Trail.
