Green Lake. You can distinguish Alpine Peak from Green Lake. From a rain point of view Green Lake is a reasonably normal place; most of the snow falls through April, and the driest month of the year is October.

Cherokee Creek near Green Lake is a great idea, and what would a spot like Green Lake be without interesting close by highlights like Pavillion Point. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Clear Creek, and Green Lake Dam has good water
scenery. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a site to stay Georgetown Mountain Inn is a fine choice; a brilliant place to visit nearby is Snowdrift Gulch.
Near Green Lake you locate the Chicago Lakes Trail which is a brilliant
hiking trail; Arapahoe Basin has great slopes and a friendly staff. Camping at Green Lake is delightful fun, West Chicago Creek Campground is a delightful local campground, and dry warm beds await you at Brewery Inn.
