This lake is so wonderful. Get dripping       wet paddling on Boulder Creek, and you can have a delightful hiking adventure along the Mesa Trail. The Prospect RV Park is a brilliant campground here, and whitewater paddling is fine on Boulder Creek - South. Through the summertime months here at Great Western Reservoir, high temperatures usually get into the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures sink down into the 50's. For the duration of the winter this place gets highs in the 40's, and all through the                  dark hours in the winter at Great Western Reservoir temperatures plunge to the 10's. During your tour to Great Western Reservoir you'll meet some people from Boulder for sure, and a golf course close by is Heritage Golf Course at Westmoor. Around Great Western Reservoir you don’t get a lot of rainfall; during May this area sees the most rain, and January is when it's the driest. Life's too short to enjoy all the cool stuff close to Great Western Reservoir. If you need a place to stay Renaissance Broomfield Suites is a nice choice, and Great Western Dam is a stunning spot, certainly worth a visit. This lake is so wonderful.
