     You'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Powderhorn while you're here; why not check out Hogchute Dam while you're here. Good hiking is available along the Carson Lake Trail; some of the water close by flows, like Reservoir Creek. At Grand Mesa Reservoir Number 1 you don’t see much precipitation; all through the month of October you get the most rain around here, and January is when it's the driest. This lake is so wonderful. There's whitewater  
   on Kannah Creek for all you thrill seekers. Lakes are perfect; Hogchute Reservoir is a lake that's near Grand Mesa Reservoir Number 1.
This is a perfect vicinity for people who like lakes. Carson Lake is a lake in the neighborhood; if you need a site to stay Howard Johnson Express - Cedaredge is a glorious choice. There's so much to do here at Grand Mesa Reservoir Number 1 that you need to camp here for a while, Glacier Spring Campground is a tremendous place
 
               for that, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Grand Mesa Reservoir Number 1; West Bench Trail is a wonderful local trail. This lake is so wonderful. A great close by hotel is Comfort Inn Delta.
Summer brings highs in the 90's to Grand Mesa Reservoir Number 1; the night is a tad colder of course, ordinarily in the 60's. For the period of the wintertime this place gets highs in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Grand Mesa Reservoir Number 1 are in the 10's. If you love the outdoors, you'll go for Grand Mesa Reservoir Number 1. Grand Mesa Reservoir Number 1 is magnificent enough to spend more than a day at, Jumbo Reservoir Campground is a magnificent local campground; you can go for a hike on the Deep Creek Trail.
