If you are in Grand county it's always a good idea to stop by Grand Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Bighorn Lodge; why not head up to Berthoud Pass and strap some skis to your feet. A quick tour to Echo Creek close to Grand Lake is a glorious idea, and beaches are good and Surprise Beach is no exception. Any time is a fine time at Grand Lake if you adore the outdoors. Whitewater paddling is glorious on Willow Creek.

All through the wintertime highs are regularly in the 20's with temperatures at Grand Lake dipping down into the 0's through winter nights. to Grand Lake. A short visit to Adams Falls is always worthwhile; Grand Lake is nice enough to spend more than a day at, Grand Bay Campground is a nice local campground.
A splendid view of stunning Mount Bryant is available from
Grand Lake, and the Outlet Trail offers hiking at its best. A round of golf at nearby Grand Lake Golf Course is a wonderful way to kill some time, and Fraser River has a delightful whitewater paddling spot close by. If you came to
camp Elk Creek Campground and RV Park is a nice site to do that; hiking is a popular thing to do around Grand Lake; Shadow Mountain Trail is a fine local trail.
This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Inn At Grand
Lake, The is a brilliant place to spend a night or two, and SolVista is a very popular ski area in the neighborhood. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Columbine Creek Trail, and a pleasant tour to Summerland Park is a splendid way to spend an afternoon.
