get enough of the good skiing at Hesperus Ski Center, and if you come at the right time of year, Dolores River offers some fine whitewater. Dunton Hot Springs is a great spot to get some rest, and a pleasant site nearby is Garrison
Canyon. Near Gould Reservoir you come across the Lost Canyon Stock Driveway which is a pleasant hiking trail; Gould Reservoir is pleasant enough to spend more than a day at, West Dolores Campground is a pleasant local campground.
This lake is so wonderful. Lakes are wonderful; Loading Pen Reservoir is a lake that's near Gould Reservoir, and there's some flowing water nearby, Taylor Creek is a stream you can have a look at while here. This lake is so wonderful.
There's so much to do here at Gould Reservoir that you need to camp here for a while, Mavreeso Campground is a good site for that, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always pop by nearby Knuckles Reservoir.

It contains 402 surfqace acres when full. The lake is stocked with fish by the Colorado Division of Wildlife (DOW) and open for public fishing. Public access is from highway 184 on the north side of the lake. There is a boat ramp. Fishing is allowed from the bank or from hand powered or trolling motor powered boats only. The public access is maintained by the DOW. The only facilities present is a boat ramp and a pit toilet. No fires, swimming or overnight camping is allowed.... |
