Life's too short to enjoy all the cool things in the Park Range. The best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of nearby Vail, and you can have a pleasant hiking adventure along the Wheeler Dillion Trail. Gore Lake gets very little rainfall; July is the month that gets the most rain, and February is when it's the driest. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike along the Slate Creek Trail will let you       absorb the natural beauty of this area, and dry warm beds await you at Vail Racquet Club Condominiums. So much enjoyable stuff in the Park Range, just tremendous. Arkansas River has a wonderful whitewater paddling spot nearby; if you've had enough of Gore Lake, Snow Lake is close by. Take a hike on the Deluge Lake Trail. There's so much to do here at Gore Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Black Lakes Campground is a great spot for that. Whitewater                  paddling is delightful on Blue River, and if you need a site to stay Days Inn Silverthorne is a wonderful choice. Throughout the summer months, highs frequently are in the 70's at Gore Lake while nighttime lows are typically in the 40's. Daytime highs throughout the wintertime are in the 20's; overnight lows during the winter for Gore Lake tend to be in the 0's. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the amusing stuff at Gore Lake. People from Silverthorne love to come to Gore Lake, and you can hit the slopes at Copper Mountain in close proximity.
