There's a great class III-IV segment of whitewater nearby on Gore Creek, the 9.2-mile-in-distance East Vail Exit (I-70) to Eagle River sector. This sector of Gore Creek is fitting for whitewater paddlers who have been whitewater paddling for some time but who are not yet set for the incredibly dangerous rapids. A close by grade III-IV whitewater section is to be found on Blue River; the Blue River Camp Ground to
FR 2400 sector is 3 miles long. This sector of Blue River is wonderful for those with a little bit of whitewater boating knowledge. Always check the situation before heading out whitewater boating since whitewater boating is a risky pastime.
