If you are in Mineral county it's always a good idea to stop by Goose Lake. Goose Lake is located in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains. If you want a good time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Goose Lake. Near Goose Lake you locate the Middle Creek Stock Driveway which is a fine hiking trail; after a long day outdoors Oak Ridge Lodge is a brilliant place to spend a night or two. During the summer months highs here at Goose Lake get into the 70's while

| | night lows are usually in the 30's. Daytime highs throughout the winter are in the 20's, and night lows in the-10's for Goose Lake.
An attention-grabbing thing to check out close to Goose Lake is Goose Lake Dam, and going for a hike on the Turkey Lake Trail is always a great adventure. This lake is so wonderful. Not enough hours in
a day to enjoy the San Juan and Jemez Mountains. The Rainbow Trail is a nice hiking trail close to Goose Lake. But wait, there's more amusing stuff to do in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains. You'll need more than a day to look at
everything Goose Lake has to offer, you can camp at Ivy Creek Campground and Trailhead; drift down the rapids of Wolf Creek in a kayak. If you come at the right time of year, San Juan River - East Fork offers some good whitewater; Holiday Inn Express Pagosa Springs, Co is a good spot to get some rest.
