    If you are in Mineral county it's always a good idea to stop by Goose Lake. For the period of the summertime, highs ordinarily are in the 70's at Goose Lake, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 30's. During the wintertime highs are mostly in the 20's, and after the sun is down through the wintertime temperatures at Goose Lake fall into the-10's. If you need a place to stay Oak Ridge Lodge is a perfect choice, and you can take a little tour to Goose  
   Lake Dam if you're here at Goose Lake. Goose Lake is pretty dehydrated frequently; the wettest month of the year is regularly July, that's the one that rains the most, and the driest month is June.
You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the exciting things at Goose Lake. Goose Lake is not the only site close by, Goose Reservoir is a close by lake, and Goose Lake is great enough to spend more than a day at, Broken Arrow Ranch is a great local campground.
 
               This lake is so wonderful. Good hiking is available along the Turkey Lake Trail. Be careful coming to the San Juan and Jemez Mountains, you might not ever want to go home again. Go for a hike on the Middle Creek Stock Driveway, and if you've had enough of Goose Lake, Little Goose Lake is close by.
The peak of South River Peak can be seen from Goose Lake, and going for a hike on the Rainbow Trail is always a great adventure. This lake is so wonderful. If you come at the right time of year, Wolf Creek offers some tremendous whitewater; dry warm beds await you at Holiday Inn Express Pagosa Springs, Co. Yeah, come up here to the San Juan and Jemez Mountains for a nice time. There are some splendid whitewater spots on San Juan River - East Fork, and if you came to camp Ivy Creek Campground and Trailhead is a splendid place to do that.
Goose Lake is a beautiful lake in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains.
