For the duration of the summertime highs here at Goodenough Reservoir get into the 80's, and the nighttime is a tad chillier of course, mostly in the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 30's, and after       the sun is down all through the winter temperatures at Goodenough Reservoir fall into the 0's. This lake is so wonderful. There is a splendid hiking trail in close proximity to Goodenough Reservoir called the Elk Park Trail; if you need a place to stay La Quinta Inn & Suites Rifle is a great choice. Going for a hike on the East Leon Trail is always a fine adventure, and dry warm beds await you at Howard Johnson Express - Cedaredge. That right there is a                  lot already, but it carries on; Goodenough Reservoir has it all. Near Goodenough Reservoir you find the Monument Trail which is a good hiking trail; Crater Peak is beautiful and can be seen from here. Get your heart beating on the glorious whitewater of Gunnison River - North Fork, and you can stay the night at Dyke Creek Campground. At Dog Fish Lake Dam close to Goodenough Reservoir there are some exciting things to see, and almost certainly you're looking for nearby lakes? Sure, Goodenough Reservoir Number 2 is just a very short distance away. This lake is so wonderful.
