     Gold Dust Lakes is one of the lakes here in the Sawatch Range. If you like skiing, you're in luck; Beaver Creek is near Gold Dust Lakes; camping at Fulford Cave Campground is always a great experience. Life's too short to enjoy all the fun things in the neighborhood of Gold Dust Lakes. Hyatt Mountain Lodge is a good location to get some rest, and a picturesque lake like Horseshoe Lake is a perfect place to go to.

   to camp here at Gold Dust Lakes is Yeoman Park Campground, and in case you don’t have a problem getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Eagle River. For the period of the long summer days at Gold Dust Lakes highs are mostly in the 80's. During the moonlight hours it's frequently in the 40's. For the period of the winter highs are regularly in the 30's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Gold Dust Lakes. Good hiking is available along  
               the Lake Charles Trail.
All the outdoors enjoyable stuff in the Sawatch Range will keep you coming back time and again. Don't leave Gold Dust Lakes without first going for a hike along the New York Mountain Trail, and after a long day outdoors The Pines Lodge is a perfect site to spend a night or two. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Sawatch Range. The skiing at Vail is good, and you'll stumble on a charming lake called Big Pine Lake. This lake is so wonderful. If you're stopping by Gold Dust Lakes from Edwards, you won't be the only one, and whitewater paddling is brilliant on Fryingpan River.
Not much rainfall falls here at Gold Dust Lakes; the wettest month of the year is usually July, that's the one that rains the most, and February on the other hand is the driest. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Gold Dust Lakes; Lake Creek Trail is a good local trail, and the top of Gold Dust Peak is easily made out from Gold Dust Lakes.
