On a wonderful day at Gold Creek Lake you can take a hike along the Gilpin Trail. Gold Creek Lake is one of the lakes here in the Park Range. Mica Creek is a charming stream that is worth taking a look at, and Howelsen Hill is a very popular ski area in the neighborhood. You're almost certainly keen on lakes, Gilpin Lake is one of those close by, and a pleasant place       to camp here at Gold Creek Lake is Beaver Creek Campground. Gold Creek Lake is pretty dried up regularly; the month of April is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest of the months is January. This lake is so wonderful. Lakes are nice; Beaver Lake is a lake that's right next door to Gold Creek Lake; close by you stumble on the Mica Basin Trail which is a magnificent hiking trail. All year is a pleasant time in the Park Range if you have a thing                  about the outdoors. CrossTimbers at Steamboat is a great spot to get some rest, and Gold Creek Lake is delightful enough to spend more than a day at, Helena Campground is a delightful local campground. During the summertime highs here at Gold Creek Lake get into the 70's with nighttime lows in the 40's. Throughout the winter highs are in the 30's, and all through the dark hours in the winter at Gold Creek Lake temperatures sink to the 10's. Life's too short to enjoy all the exciting things in the Park Range. Hit the slopes at Steamboat close at hand, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Elk River. This is no site for people who don’t like to have a good time.
