     This lake is located in the wonderful Uncompahgre Plateau Mountains. Go Back Reservoir is mostly a reasonably dried out place; through July this area sees the most rain while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. If you want a brilliant time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Uncompahgre Plateau Mountains. This is a splendid region for folks who like lakes. Section 7 Reservoir is a lake close by; if you need a site to stay Fairmont  
   Franz Klammer Lodge is a great choice.
This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Go Back Reservoir that you need to camp here for a while, Iron Spring Campground is a splendid place for that, and in the event that you don't mind getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on San Miguel River. This lake is so wonderful. If you came to camp Antone Spring Campground is a great site to do that; great hiking is available along the Horsefly
 
               Trail.
Why not take a refreshing hike along the Paradox Road; Flatiron Spring is always fun to check out. Man, is there heaps of amusing things to do in close proximity to Go Back Reservoir. This is a popular place for people from Montrose, and a brilliant place for whitewater paddling is San Miguel River. All through the months of summer, highs frequently are in the 80's at Go Back Reservoir. Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 40's. Daytime highs through the wintertime are in the 30's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Go Back Reservoir.
Yep, outdoors exciting things truly is plentiful here in the Uncompahgre Plateau Mountains. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Go Back Reservoir; Dry Creek Trail is a perfect local trail, and perhaps you're looking for nearby lakes? Sure, Tikka Reservoir is just a very short distance away.
