Glacier Lakes is one of the lakes here in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains. This lake is so wonderful. There are some good whitewater spots on Rio Brazos, and on a splendid day you can take a hike along the La Manga Stock Driveway. If you fancy the outdoors, you'll go for Glacier Lakes. El Vado Lake Camping Resort is a wonderful local campground, and there is a splendid hiking trail nearby called the Elk Creek Trail. And if that's not enough there's plenty

kayak and hit Rio Chama; the Red Lake Trail is a great hiking trail close by. Summertime highs at Glacier Lakes generally tend to be in the 60's while overnight lows are generally in the 40's. High temperatures during the wintertime are normally in the 30's; nighttime lows in the 0's for Glacier Lakes.
