Gilpin Lake is a lake worth visiting. This lake is so wonderful. If you came to camp Beaver Creek Campground is a glorious place to do that, and going for a hike on the Mica Basin Trail is always a splendid adventure. This lake is one of the great places here in the Park Range. If you fancy the outdoors you'll fancy it here in the Park Range. Gilpin Lake is great enough to spend more than a day at, Helena Campground is a great local campground, and after a long day outdoors Western Lodge is a magnificent place to spend a night or two. A lake nearby is Bighorn Lake; on a great day you can stop by Swamp Park, a swamp right next door to Gilpin Lake. This place, the Park Range, has so much outdoors amusing stuff. This lake is so wonderful. Mount Zirkel can be seen from Gilpin Lake, and the Gilpin Trail is a great hiking trail close by. Through the
warm months at Gilpin Lake highs are typically in the 70's. Once the sun is down it falls down to the 40's. Highs during the wintertime are regularly in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Gilpin Lake are in the 10's. Yeah, come
here to Gilpin Lake for a magnificent time. Near Gilpin Lake you come across the Red Dirt Pass Trail which is a nice hiking trail, and getting to Mica Creek from Gilpin Lake is uncomplicated.
Around Gilpin Lake you don’t get a
lot of precipitation; of all the months in a year April is the one with the most rain, and January is the month with the least moisture. A glorious nearby hotel is CrossTimbers at Steamboat.
