Gilpin Lake is a very beautiful lake in beautiful surroundings. This lake is so wonderful. If the weather is brilliant here at Gilpin Lake, you can go for a hike along the Mica Basin Trail, and a splendid nearby hotel is Western Lodge. Around Gilpin Lake you don’t get a lot of rain; the month of April is the wettest with most of the rain; the driest month is January. Summertime highs at Gilpin Lake typically tend to be in the 70's. | | hours it's commonly in the 40's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 30's, and during the dark hours in the wintertime at Gilpin Lake temperatures descend to the 10's.

This lake is located in the wonderful Park Range. This location, the Park Range, has so much outdoors exciting stuff. Lakes are nice; Bighorn Lake is a lake that's close to Gilpin Lake, and if the weather

This lake is so wonderful. Gilpin Lake is great enough to spend more than a day at, Helena Campground is a great local campground, and paddling on Encampment River is so much fun. If you like skiing, you're in luck; Steamboat is close to Gilpin Lake.
