That right there is lots of entertaining stuff already but it goes on, the Front Range has it all. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Greyrock Trail, and in the event that you don’t have a problem getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Cache La Poudre River. Not much rainfall falls here at Gilmore Lake; of all the months in a year May is the one with the most rain, and February on the       other hand is the driest. Summer brings highs in the 80's to Gilmore Lake. Through the dark hours of summer temperatures sink down into the 50's. Highs during the winter are regularly in the 40's with temperatures at Gilmore Lake dipping down into the 10's through winter nights. You'll really wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the enjoyable stuff in the Front Range. Looking for something next to Gilmore Lake? North Poudre Reservoir Number 1 is in the                  vicinity, and do take a hike on the Overland Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Stay the night at Heron Lake RV Park; you'll meet a lot of folks from Fort Collins-Loveland here. At Curtis Lake Dam in the vicinity of Gilmore Lake there are some out of the ordinary things to see, and Cache La Poudre River - North Fork has a delightful whitewater paddling spot nearby. This lake is so wonderful. A round of golf at nearby Fort Collins Country Club Golf is a delightful way to kill some time, and Budget Host Inn Fort Collins is a pleasant place to get some rest.
