This lake is so wonderful. North Clear Creek Campground is a wonderful campground here; nearby you stumble on Santa Maria Pass which is a good place to take a look at. You'll in fact wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the amusing things in the San Juan Mountains. If you need a site to stay Best Value High Country Lodge is a nice choice. There's some interesting stuff to catch a sight of at Santa Maria Lake       Dam near Ghost Lake, and you can go for a hike on the McKenzie Stock Driveway. Around Ghost Lake you don’t get a lot of rainfall; August is when you get the most rain here, and February is when it's the driest. Camping at Ghost Lake is good fun, Rio Grande Campground is a good local campground, and great hiking is available along the Middle Creek Stock Driveway. If you love the outdoors, you'll adore Ghost Lake. You can catch a glimpse of Antelope Mountain                  from Ghost Lake; going for a hike on the Long Ridge Stock Driveway is always a great adventure.
