This lake is so wonderful. Take a side spree to Clear Creek, needless to say you could also visit Fire Box Reservoir while you're here; it's not far at all. Stay the night at Antone Spring Campground, and you're sure to stumble upon some fine people from Montrose here. This location, the Uncompahgre Plateau Mountains, has so much outdoors fun stuff. A lake close by is Turkey Plot Reservoir, and on a wonderful day you can take a hike along the Horsefly Trail.

| | All the outdoors cool stuff in close proximity to Geyser Reservoir will keep you coming back again and again. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend San Miguel River; if the weather is nice, you can go for a hike along the Dry Creek Trail. Geyser Reservoir is pretty waterless frequently; during the month of July you get the most rain around here, and February is when it's the driest. This lake is one of the great places | |

here in the Uncompahgre Plateau Mountains. This lake is so wonderful. A magnificent close by hotel is Hampton Inn Montrose, and Hanks Valley is also a tremendous place to look at. The beauty of mother nature reveals herself at
Cedar Spring, and the Paradox Road is a glorious hiking trail close by. High temperatures at Geyser Reservoir throughout the summer months are in the 80's; through summer nights temperatures are in the 40's. Daytime highs through
the winter are in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Geyser Reservoir are in the 0's. So much exciting stuff to do in the Uncompahgre Plateau Mountains, not enough time. There's whitewater on San Miguel River for all you
adrenaline junkies, and Geyser Reservoir is a great place to visit for more than one day, Iron Spring Campground is a great place to camp nearby.
