Lakes are magnificent; Summit Lake is a lake that's in the neighborhood of George Lake, and close by you stumble on the Percy Lake Trail which is a splendid hiking trail. You're perhaps hooked on lakes, Martha Lake is one of those nearby, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Elk River. During the days of summer at George Lake temperatures       are commonly in the 80's, and through the night it cools down to the 40's. The winter brings highs down to the 20's; overnight lows at George Lake during the wintertime frequently plunge into the-10's. If you fancy the outdoors you'll fancy it here in the Park Range. Playing golf is lots of fun at Haymaker Golf Course, and there's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at nearby Steamboat. If you want a brilliant time in the great outdoors, just come on down                  to George Lake. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a site to stay Winterwood Townhomes is a glorious choice, and Granite Campground is a delightful campground nearby. You'll beyond doubt wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the fun things in the Park Range. If the weather is nice here at George Lake, you can go for a hike along the Newcomb Creek Trail, and if you desire a little side tour, try Buffalo Pass. The Park Range scenery is always beautiful. George Lake gets very little rain; most of the snow falls throughout December, and the driest month of the year is August. Hit the slopes at Howelsen Hill nearby; the summit of Round Mountain can be distinguished from George Lake. A nice close by hotel is Scandinavian Lodge and Condominiums, and not far from here you can enjoy the trees of Routt National Forest. This lake is so wonderful.
