Many people like to go to Gem Lake. This lake is so wonderful. If time allows, Florissant Fossil Beds National Monument is a national park worth going to. Hiking along the Stanley Canyon Trail is good fun, and if you need a location to stay The Cliff House Hotel at Pikes Peak is a glorious choice. I don't want to stop, cause I'm havin' a magnificent time here at Gem Lake. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Gem Lake has to offer, you can camp at

| | Springdale Campground; you could always discover Ensign Gulch.
It is very waterless here at Gem Lake generally; all through July this area sees the most rain, and January on the other hand is the driest. Life's too short to enjoy all the cool things in the Front Range. Gem Lake is right by the Balanced Rock Trail; Rainbow Dam is not far at all from Gem Lake. So much entertaining stuff in the Front Range, just impressive. Stay the night at Promontory Campground; why not spend some time golfing at a close by golf course like Shining Mountain Golf Club. Through the warm
months highs here at Gem Lake get into the 80's. During the dark hours of summer temperatures drop down into the 40's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 40's with temperatures at Gem Lake dipping down into the 0's throughout
winter nights. Gem Lake is one of the lakes here in the Front Range.
This lake is so wonderful. Gem Lake is not far at all from Colorado Springs, and dry warm beds await you at Country Lodge.
