Gardner Lake Reservoir is a great lake in an area with lots of outdoors fun all around. This is no place for people who don’t like to enjoy themselves. There's glorious hiking along the Liberty Cap Trail, and don't leave Gardner Lake Reservoir without first going for a hike along the Ute Canal Trail. A fine spot close to Gardner Lake Reservoir is No Thoroughfare Canyon, and if you haven’t been to Colorado National Monument, you have to schedule some time for it
