Michele Reservoir is a good lake right next door to Garbareno Reservoir; you can stay the night at Emerson Campground. Vick Spring is a good local attraction. There's so much to do here at Garbareno Reservoir that you need to camp here for a while, Mavreeso Campground is a wonderful site for that. This lake is so wonderful. Mesa Verde National Park is a pleasant place near Garbareno Reservoir, and a stunning lake like Stoner Lake is a great place to go to.

Lost Canyon Stock Driveway is always a great adventure, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Dolores River. And if you're still looking for more outdoors entertaining stuff just keep reading. Visit Cottonwood Creek if you're here at Garbareno Reservoir, and there is a perfect hiking trail nearby called the Eagle Peak Trail.

It contains 402 surfqace acres when full. The lake is stocked with fish by the Colorado Division of Wildlife (DOW) and open for public fishing. Public access is from highway 184 on the north side of the lake. There is a boat ramp. Fishing is allowed from the bank or from hand powered or trolling motor powered boats only. The public access is maintained by the DOW. The only facilities present is a boat ramp and a pit toilet. No fires, swimming or overnight camping is allowed.... |
