This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Galloway Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Miramonte Reservoir Campground is a great place for that; one of the governing features of the surroundings of Galloway Lake is North Mountain. Through the warm months highs here at Galloway Lake get into       the 90's. Once the sun is down it falls down to the 50's. Through the winter highs are typically in the 30's with temperatures at Galloway Lake dipping down into the 10's during winter nights. Galloway Lake is a location that is quite waterless usually; through the month of October you get the most rain around here, and June on the other hand is the driest. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Galloway Lake; Fish Creek Trail is a pleasant local trail, and                  Galloway Lake is not the only spot nearby, Mud Lake is a nearby lake. Galloway Lake is glorious enough to spend more than a day at, Mavreeso Campground is a glorious local campground, needless to say you could also pop by Bull Lake since you're here; it's not far at all. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a place to stay Dunton Hot Springs is a pleasant choice. Don't leave Galloway Lake without first paying a visit to Bear Spring; if you don’t have a problem getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on San Miguel River. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this place.
