Fuchs Reservoir is splendid enough to spend more than a day at, River Hill Campground is a splendid local campground; going for a hike on the Middle Creek Stock Driveway is always a nice adventure. There's some exciting stuff to catch a sight of at Big Ruby Dam next to Fuchs Reservoir, and there is a great hiking trail close by called the Fern Creek Stock Driveway. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy       the San Juan and Jemez Mountains. Glide down the rapids of Rio Grande in a kayak, and do stop by Quartz Creek if you're here at Fuchs Reservoir. All the outdoors cool things in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains will keep you coming back over and over. After a long day outdoors Fairfield Pagosa Resort is a pleasant place to spend a night or two. Near Fuchs Reservoir you stumble on the Long Ridge Stock Driveway which is a brilliant hiking trail; lakes are such                  peaceful spots, why not visit Ruby Lake.
