| | Lakes is splendid fun, Mary Queen Campground is a splendid local campground. Elbert Creek Campground is a splendid campground here; nice hiking is available along the Mount Massive Trail. And if that's not enough there's a lot more cool stuff to do in the Sawatch Range. Go for a hike on the Highline Trail, and at Fryingpan Lakes you can see Mount Oklahoma.

in the 40's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 30's with temperatures at Fryingpan Lakes dipping down into the 0's during winter nights. At Fryingpan Lakes you don’t see much precipitation; of all the months in a
year August is the one with the most rain, and the driest month of the year is February. This lake is so wonderful. Very delightful scenery and splendid skiing is what you get at Aspen Highlands; there are plenty of people from Edwards
here.
Now, you may believe that's a lot but there's even more amusing things to do here in the Sawatch Range. Nearby lakes? Sure, North Halfmoon Lakes is in close proximity to Fryingpan Lakes; Super 8 Motel - Leadville is a great
site to get some rest. This lake is so wonderful. What would winter be without some skiing at Ski Cooper, and in case you don’t mind getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Lake Creek.
